On March 22nd we organized the first Career Lunch of 2023 for Postdocs at Amsterdam UMC.
Our career lunches provide an informal setting to discuss career development and opportunities with professionals in- and outside academia.
For this 1st edition, we invited Sofia Moco (Assistant Professor at the VU, Amsterdam), Lorena Casadonte (Medical Education Director, Medscape) and Eileen Daniels (science communicator and board member scicom.nl). They all have a very divergent career path, and it was interesting to hear how they made their decisions along the way.
For a more personal discussion, we divided into three groups, and switched every 15 minutes. While listening to their stories and discussing their career choices, we also enjoyed a great lunch.
All in all, a very succesfull and inspiring event!
