Course description
What does it take to become a good leader? And how can you supervise others effectively while creating a supportive and safe working environment?
During this course, you will explore your own leadership style, learn how to adapt your communication to different situations, and develop practical skills for supervising students, PhD candidates, and colleagues.
Topics include:
Understanding your own leadership style and behavioural patterns
Adapting communication styles to different people and situations
Building trust and creating a safe working environment
Managing expectations in supervision
Giving effective feedback
Listening and coaching rather than immediately providing solutions
Developing your own leadership approach
